On the start of a transfer to us, an email is sent to the Registrant Contact, for them to approve the transfer of the domain name in question. This is the main step in transferring a domain name that can cause a hold up. If the Contact sends the authorization back immediately, your domain name could be transferred approximately 5 days after agreeing; sooner if they follow the "approve/cancel" link (when that's available) and approve the transfer.
